(C) Reuters. Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 1.03%
Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Insurance and Media sectors led shares higher while losses in the Retail, Transportation & Logistics and Software sectors led shares lower.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:DAIGn), which rose 3.97% or 2.745 points to trade at 71.825 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:DBKGn) added 3.81% or 0.385 points to end at 10.480 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (DE:BMWG) was up 3.46% or 2.730 points to 81.555 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were HelloFresh SE (DE:HFGG), which fell 2.58% or 2.32 points to trade at 87.52 at the close. Zalando SE (DE:ZALG) declined 2.34% or 2.06 points to end at 85.85 and Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:SHLG) was down 2.00% or 1.20 points to 58.84.
The top performers on the MDAX were Stroeer SE (DE:SAXG) which rose 4.67% to 71.650, Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (DE:BOSSn) which was up 4.27% to settle at 52.000 and K&S AG (DE:SDFGn) which gained 4.04% to close at 12.818.
The worst performers were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:LHAG) which was down 25.41% to 6.248 in late trade, Bechtle AG (DE:BC8G) which lost 7.03% to settle at 62.440 and Cancom SE O.N. (DE:COKG) which was down 2.01% to 51.580 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Suse SA (DE:SUSEG) which rose 3.06% to 37.00, Vantage Towers AG (DE:VTWRn) which was up 2.67% to settle at 29.96 and Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which gained 2.44% to close at 15.110.
The worst performers were Bechtle AG (DE:BC8G) which was down 7.03% to 62.440 in late trade, Cancom SE O.N. (DE:COKG) which lost 2.01% to settle at 51.580 and Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:SHLG) which was down 2.00% to 58.84 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 483 to 214 and 73 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 10.11% to 23.56.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.06% or 1.05 to $1779.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.94% or 1.37 to hit $71.86 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.90% or 1.41 to trade at $75.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1738, while EUR/GBP rose 0.13% to 0.8591.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 93.127.
