Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 25, 2026 Last reviewed: July 25, 2026
Benefits Reports ("we," "us," "our") operates benefitsreports.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Because our Services relate to disability benefits, some information you share is sensitive. We take that seriously and try to collect only what we need.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us through the quiz and forms:
- Contact details: first name, email address, and (optionally) phone number.
- Benefits-related answers, which may include: veteran/service status, branch and era of service, discharge type, exposure history, current claim or rating status, the conditions and symptoms you select, treatment and evidence status, work and earnings status, and any free-text notes you write.
What we do NOT ask for: We do not request your Social Security number, and we do not collect your full medical records through the Site. Please do not submit these to us.
Information collected automatically:
- Basic device and usage data (pages viewed, referring page, general location derived from IP, approximate device type) through privacy-friendly analytics. We aim to minimize tracking and avoid selling behavioral data.
2. How we use your information
- To generate and deliver your Benefits Strategy Report (on screen and by email).
- To send you the report and, if you opt in, follow-up educational emails and messages you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- With your consent, to connect you with an independent third-party professional (a VA-accredited representative or a Social Security disability advocate/attorney) who may contact you about your claim. See "Sharing" below and our Disclosures.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
3. Consent for contact (TCPA / email)
If you provide a phone number and check the consent box, you agree that we and/or a matched professional partner may contact you by phone, text (SMS), and email about your benefits inquiry, including by automated means. Consent is not a condition of using the report, and you can revoke it any time by replying STOP to texts, using the unsubscribe link in emails, or contacting [CONTACT EMAIL]. Message and data rates may apply. We log the date, time, and content of your consent.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your sensitive benefits information to the general public or to data brokers. We share information only as follows:
- With professional partners you consent to be matched with. When you opt in to be connected, we share the information relevant to your inquiry (your contact details and benefits answers) with the matched partner so they can help you. These partners are independent; their use of your information is governed by their own privacy practices. We disclose our referral relationships and compensation in our Disclosures.
- With service providers who help us run the Site (for example, hosting, email/CRM, analytics, and the report-generation service), under agreements that limit their use of your information to providing services to us.
- For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- In a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), subject to this Policy.
5. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption of stored quiz and report data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data retention
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, then delete or de-identify it. You may request deletion (see below).
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under California, Virginia, Colorado, and similar state laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing. Sensitive information is used only for the purposes described here. To exercise any right, contact [CONTACT EMAIL] or [DPO / PRIVACY CONTACT]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
You can also:

8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Third-party links
The Site links to government resources (VA.gov, SSA.gov) and may link to partner sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
10. Changes
